Get Togethers: Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals Book Review

Get Togethers reflects Rachel’s belief that when it comes to entertaining less is more. The book opens with Rachel’s definition of a Get Together – a small, informal gathering that pairs great food with great people. In Get Togethers, Rachel presents menu suggestions consisting of 2-4 recipes that promise to be ready in 30-minutes.

If you are a fan of her Food Network show 30 Minute Meals then you are familiar with some of Rachel’s techniques (salad in a bag, pre-cut veggies, canned broth). She doesn’t even have time to say 'extra virgin olive oil' (she uses the abbreviation e.v.o.o.). Get Togethers reflects her easy style and cute personality. Every menu seems do-able and 90% of the ingredients could be found in your supermarket.

Bonus features like Helpful Store-Bought Items (a list of store bought prepared items to have on hand) and Setting the Mood (ways to create ambience quickly and cheaply) make this cookbook a bargain for under $15.
