Girlfriends Get Together by Carmen Renee Berry and Tamara Traeder

In Girlfriends Get Together we get several books in one, a cookbook with input from cookbook author Janet Hazen, a story book with poignant stories from women: both famous and everyday, about how and why they feel the need to get together with other women and a party planner.

Girlfriends Get Together is organized around different occasions to get together with girlfriends -- A Moving Day Picnic, a Housewarming Dinner, a Baby Shower, a Bacherlorette Fete and even a Leaving Your Man Party.

I enjoyed Girlfriends Get Together on all it’s levels. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious and the menu plans and party suggestions are very do-able (you won‘t find yourself making individual mini ice sculptures of each of your guests a.k.a. Martha Stewart Fine Living). I am actually going to use their Holiday Party suggestions for my own annual Girlfriend Holiday Party (cookie dough, spiced wine, Holiday music, can‘t get any easier than that!).
